Requesting deletion from inside the app

Open Clariva, go to your profile, and choose Delete account. You can add a reason and further details, which help us but are optional.

Requesting deletion without installing the app

Write to support@clariva.com with the subject Account deletion request, from the email address your Clariva account uses. Please include the name shown on your profile, so the account can be identified with confidence.

We may ask one follow-up question to confirm you own the account. We will not ask for your password.

What is deleted

• Your account and login.
• Your profile, including your name, picture and instrument.
• Your practice sessions, their audio recordings and the musical analysis derived from them.
• Your passages and your attempts at passages.
• Your social content — comments, applause, follows and notifications.

What may remain, and why

• Recordings attached to a passage you shared. A passage recording is stored with the passage rather than with the session it came from, so that passages other people play do not stop working. Remove the recording, or delete the passage, before requesting account deletion if you want it gone.
• Copies other people already have. Anything already listened to, downloaded or cached by someone else cannot be recalled.
• Backups. Deleted data can persist in routine backups for a limited period before those backups expire.
• Records we are required to keep. Where law requires retention, we keep only what is required and only for as long as it is required.

How long it takes

Deletion requests are reviewed by a person, so deletion is not immediate. We aim to complete a request within 30 days of receiving it, and will confirm by email when it is done.

If you only want to stop using Clariva

You can sign out or uninstall the app without deleting anything. Your data stays as it is, and nothing further is recorded until you record a session again.
